This is just one example of the many projects Ambient Light has worked on for MRM/McCann in Princeton, NJ. The piece was created to show the importance of English in the work place. The piece was directed & produced by MRM/McCann.
Interviews, stock footage, client-supplied graphic elements and music made up this compelling informative program. Manned with a portable editing system Ambient Light's David Leavitt used the latest version of Apple's Final Cut Pro X and Adobe After Effects to complete the job under a tight schedule and constantly changing input. “Had I not had Final Cut X", David said, "I wouldn’t have been able to complete the job on time. Final Cut Pro X allowed me to keep up with any changes the job called for and we finished the project on schedule.”
Garshell Art and Frame, a picture framing company in Gilbertsville, PA looked to Ambient Light to create a video documenting the reconstruction and gilding process of a damaged antique picture frame. Owner Gary Rotenberger wasn’t interested in a “how to” video. He wanted to show the process in a creative way, just touching on the elements and highlighting the process.
Ambient Light's David Leavitt utilized two DLSR’s to capture the repair and gold leaf procedure which spanned over a two-week period. After the final video was approved and posted on the Garshell Art and Frame website, Gary commented, “People who saw the piece had no idea I did this kind of work, even though it is mentioned on my site!”
A look inside what IntegraONE is doing for Schaeffer's Harley Davidson dealership as they work together with Geoff Bogotuik to build stronger and more reliable networking solutions.
This show was created for a historic lighthouse museum on St. Simon's Island, Georgia.
With a large trade show looming, New Heights, a Lancaster-based roofing company, wanted to update their video which promoted “The Equipter”, an amazing custom-designed & built roofing buggy which collects roofing debris and can deliver roofing supplies to the work area.
Ambient Light utilized the shooting talents of Director of Photography Jim Masi, from BearHand Productions, to handle the bulk of the shooting. We also employed the use of a drone supplied and piloted by Get-Kinetic, a Philadelphia-based production firm. The drone allowed us to get extremely dynamic ariel shots impossible to achieve in any other way. The partnership between BearHand, Get-Kinetic and Ambient Light took the video New Heights wanted to create – to a new level!
“The vision for Great Americans grew out of my desire to redeem some of what I lost growing up on welfare in Spanish Harlem in New York City.” — Matt Daniels
Matt Daniels had an interest in American Culture & Politics since an early age where he grew up in poverty and as an adult has maintained a desire to encourage people to work hard and try to make this country a better place. Ambient Light partnered with Matt to produce an introduction to the Great Americans website, which brought Matt back to his old neighborhood. It was our first experience with a “then-new 4k camera” called the RED ONE which gave great results when shooting in a city with an overcast sky, allowing extra exposure latitude capturing darker areas under a bridge as well as bright sky against brick buildings. The resulting video was a success.
Megan Elizabeth of Above Rubies Studios has a long history in the field of online crafting tutorials. She wanted to create a pilot to pitch to producers for a possible television series. Ambient Light partnered with Brooklyn Bridge Films to create this pilot.
Nelson Ortiz, owner of Brooklyn Bridge Films, put together a top notch crew and offered his home for the shoot location. Director Scott Whitham and Director of Photography Andy Cifelli interviewed Megan on camera, an intro scene was created utilizing local downtown locations, and a crafting segment was shot using three Canon 5D Mark II cameras. Directors of Photography Tony Stewart, John Costello and Jake Willing, manned the cameras. Sound-men Steve Maglio and Dave Winston handled all the sound recording. Ambient Light completed the editing and the video is now in Megan's hands.
Jonathan Beedle and A.J. Swearingen have been performing this remarkable tribute to the music of Simon & Garfunkel for more than a decade, and their sold out shows prove the effect on their audiences is undeniable. A.J.’s warm baritone and Jonathan’s soaring tenor combine flawlessly to capture the essence and magic of Simon & Garfunkel’s sound of the early years in Greenwich Village. “David's performance and contribution was just wonderful in all respects. He jumped in immediately to assist Jonathan with all the strange ideas he had for this project. But then, when events and technology issues conspired to extend the editing session beyond Jonathan's departure, David eagerly and efficiently took over as lead editor. He patiently dealt with technology challenges and capricious changes requested by clients. And, he added many new ideas of his own to put a personal stamp on the project. In the end, he made certain that the project was entirely and successfully completed. David has come a very long way, not only in his technical knowledge, but also in the sophistication and maturity with which he approaches the entire production process.”
Bob Meola, VP Corporate Communications, CHUBB

"Stu and his crew are down to earth and fun to work with. They were personable and friendly with our clients and created a rapport that helped our clients relax as they prepared to be on camera. Also, they were very considerate of the organizations we were shooting in (making sure to follow onsite rules, privacy concerns) and they were considerate of clients’ busy schedules."
